Longpond Distillery Our whisky distillers had never heard of a muck pit until we geekily fell into a Jamaican rum rabbit hole. Muck is a living system of bacteria that creates acids that supercharge ester formation during molasses fermentation. We think muck is super cool and the resulting high ester funk in this bottling of Longpond says it all.
