Chocolate Malt

Specialty Malt

Chocolate malt

Chocolate malt is a type of malted barley that undergoes a roasting process at high temperatures. Traditionally, chocolate malt is used in the crafting of porters and stouts. Brewers have long appreciated its ability to infuse depth and complexity, contributing to the deep hues, heavy and rich flavour profiles that define these beer styles. We use Chocolate Malt as part of a mixed mash bill to impart rich, roasted, spicy flavours reminiscent of dark chocolate and coffee to our spirit.
